THE HAMPTON PROJECT
Project Type: Exterior Visualisation
In this Exterior Visualisation & 3D Modelling project in Hampton, our clients approached us to help with their “mis-matched” home. It had good bones but with an assortment of window sizes and styles, dated pebble-dash finish, and the need for new front and garage doors, our clients were looking for a complete exterior overhaul to create a coherent look for their family home.
Starting with the mishmash of existing windows, by creating larger openings, we were able to create a more uniform look for the suggested timber windows detailed with glazing bars to add that perfect finishing touch. Aluminium guttering and the addition of a gutter cornice to the fascia of the porch and the existing bay windows, has created a more welcoming entrance and overall elegant feel. It really is all about these added extras when it comes to exterior remodelling and creating that all-important kerb appeal; the devil is in the detail.
The pebbledash has been replaced with a smooth render and a traditional timber front door and garage doors complement the new timber windows. The remodel will also give the clients the opportunity to address issues with the roof on their existing rear annex, improving insultation and ensuring the longevity of their home for many years to come.
The introduction of a tonal Farrow & Ball colour scheme really draws the whole design together, and we absolutely love the pop of pink from the front door! It’s the first time we’ve had a pink door requested and it was great to incorporate a new colour way into one of our designs.
We also tweaked the landscaping to both front and rear, to improve accessibility and provide a further element of softness to the design, whilst retaining the existing decking but creating more of a courtyard feel around it.
